Thanks for your interest in HARK.

HARK is a literary magazine of poetry, short fiction and non-fiction. We accept writing that pays close and sustained attention to language and the possibilities of language. We are looking for writing that is intelligent, formally interesting, and polished. We recommend you read the first four issues of the magazine in order to see whether your work is right for us. 

When submitting, please do not enclose any writer biographies or lists of where you have been published. These are not taken into consideration, and submitted work is judged on its literary merit alone.

We also now accept pitches for non-fiction essays.
